About
Welcome, I am so glad you're here.
Carly Prive
Registered Psychologist and Owner of Brave Roots Psychology
My name is Carly. I am a Registered Psychologist who has been practicing for the past four years and working in the mental health field for nearly a decade. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with children, teens, adults, and families, and I am deeply grateful to continue supporting people through life’s challenges and growth. I believe healing happens through safe,
connected relationships. I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and self-understanding.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based, attachment-focused, and relational therapy. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, OCD, ADHD, emotional overwhelm, perfectionism, life transitions, and relationship challenges, while also supporting parents and caregivers through collaborative family work. I integrate approaches including play therapy, sandplay therapy, ACT, DBT-informed therapy, Internal Family Systems(IFS), relational neurobiology, and SPACE programming to tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals.
I view therapy as a collaborative process rooted in curiosity, safety, and connection. Whether supporting a child through emotional regulation, helping a teen navigate anxiety and identity, or working with adults and families to better understand patterns and relationships, my goal is to help clients build greater self-awareness, resilience, and confidence in themselves. At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy is not about “fixing” people—it is about helping people better understand themselves, strengthen resilience, and move toward meaningful and lasting change, one brave step at a time.
